Too attached to every thought, I rifle through my glossary.
But dreams are hard to have
Every thought is somehow connected, but they’re ill directed.
But dreams are hard to have; nightmares fill every room.
Nightmares: no light for the night? Who cares?
Who can I blame when we’re one and the same? Who am I, when I’m you too?
But dreams are hard to have
Am I alone when I care, am I alone in this race, can I escape this guilt?
Nightmares: no light for the night? Who cares?
When I revisit these old memories I scare myself to sleep,
My dreams are black because I painted them myself.
The canvas in my mind is burning, I lit the flame
These monetary walls aren’t earning, aren’t we learning?
It won't be long until the ashes of the sun feel no warmth there's no breeze,
What was life is now dead and what we've said is now read; in the waves of our death.
There’s no pride in what we hide from ourselves but we show to the world.
From afar we can’t see the forests for the trees.
Can we grow? See the forest for the trees.
Can we know? We’re destined for an apathetic end that we breed.
